From a child's first Qur'an lesson to a university scholarship, we walk alongside students at every stage.
Etdal's approach to education has never treated religious and practical learning as separate tracks. A student in one of our Makatib memorizes the Qur'an and studies Urdu, mathematics, and English in the same week. That same philosophy carries through every program below — from neighborhood Qur'an schools to a secondary school that's been open since 1993, to scholarships for students pursuing advanced religious scholarship.
Ten Makatib currently operate across Punjab, each run by trained teachers reaching students village by village. Classes follow a structured curriculum — Qaida, Hifz, Nazra, Urdu, Math, English, and translation — organized into year-long cycles from Class 1 through a final sixth-year exam, with class sizes kept to 20–25 students.
View All MakatibUsmania Bair Secondary School has been educating students since 1993 — over three decades of continuous operation. Today it serves 800+ students across separate boys' and girls' shifts, combining modern academic subjects with Qur'anic education, supported by science labs, a computer lab, a library, and its own mosque and playground on campus.
Etdal has signed a memorandum of understanding with Islamia University Bahawalpur to provide professional training for teachers and religious scholars. Through this partnership, 140 teachers and 230 scholars have completed professional development workshops so far, and a further 200+ teachers and khutaba (religious speakers) have benefited from training sessions conducted by the university.
