Etdal Foundation builds mosques, schools, and welfare programs across Punjab, grounded in the belief that faith and service to humanity have always been one calling.
Learn Our StoryEtdal — from the Arabic i'tidal, meaning balance — was founded in 2020 on a simple conviction: that the pursuit of knowledge and the service of humanity were never two separate paths. They were revealed together, in the very first verses sent down to the Prophet ﷺ.
Since then, that conviction has taken the shape of mosques where thousands gather to pray, schools where children memorize the Qur'an, a dispensary that turns no patient away, and relief that reaches families the moment disaster strikes.
From a child's first Qur'an lesson to a university scholarship — 10 active Makatib, a secondary school running since 1993, and merit scholarships for those who need them most.
Explore EducationA free dispensary, clean water, Ramadan rations, a home for orphaned children, and dowry support — meeting people at their most vulnerable moments, and staying.
Explore WelfareFourteen mosques, built and staffed by Etdal, now form the spiritual heart of the communities they serve — from a 100-seat masjid to one holding 800 worshippers.
Explore Our MosquesEverything Etdal has built so far has been in service of one larger vision: a single campus where education, healthcare, and worship exist side by side. Markaz e Etdal, groundbreaking in 2024 near Lodhran and Bahawalpur, will house a jama masjid for over 9,000 worshippers, a school with 5,000 student seats, a hospital, and a home for orphaned children — all in one place.
This isn't a proposal. It's under construction now.
Tour the Markaz e Etdal Project →From time to time, we open our doors virtually — live seminars, lectures, and community sessions streamed for anyone to join, and archived for anyone to revisit.
Etdal's work is sustained by people who believe, as we do, that service to humanity is inseparable from faith. Whether through your time, your voice, or your support — there's a place for you here.
